Belt chose the Costa del Sol to prepare for the next challenge in his career: playing the PGA Tour in China. The 31-year-old British golfer won with a final result over two rounds of 141 strokes (-1). He was the only golfer to better par, which shows how demanding Baviera Golf is.
The key factor in Belt’s victory at Baviera was his tee-to-green play. The English player’s game was very regular over the two days and he was able to deal with the pressure at the final holes. “I am very happy with this victory. It is not just my first Gecko but also my first tournament in 2017. I knew I came well prepared and I thought about nothing but winning, but it is never easy. I am really satisfied with the result”, he said.
