Once again Baviera Golf holds the Members & Staff Christmas Tournament.

Each year the traditional Christmas tournament provides a pleasant day of golf for the members and staff. Christmas time is renowned for charming and unforgettable tournaments.

The competition was played under the best ball match play rules. The team comprising the staff of Baviera Golf, led by our director Ignacio Iturbe, was unable to beat the good play shown by the members. In summary, a conclusive result of 5-2 gave victory to the Member’s team. It shows not only how well they know the golf course but also what good players they are.

As usual, those present were able to enjoy the typical Christmas products: marzipans, doughnuts, cakes, and local sweet wines. After the tournament lunch was held at the Restaurant Naturalmente and the protagonists of the day were congratulated for sharing such a special day and achieving another victory.

15th Anniversary Baviera Golf – 3rd Bridgestone PROAM Tournament

Coinciding with the 15th anniversary of Baviera Golf, our Pro-Shop La Casa del Golf hosted a spectacular Pro-Am, with over 120 participants.

Several days before the competition was held on December 10th, the registration list was already closed, obtaining an excellent response on the part of the players. Special days are coming and Christmas is about to be celebrated and it is our aim to participate with the Red Cross over these days in its campaign “no child without a toy”. The call to our players has received a wonderful response and minutes before the tournament was started the Pro-Shop was full of toys.

The competition was held under the category of two best balls medal play and each team was made up of one professional and three amateurs. The golf course was at its best, as we are used to, with fairways and greens in very good conditions. Despite the early morning being cloudy, the sun came out later which, together with the pleasant temperature, made it a perfect day to enjoy the golf.

The players were able to savour delicious cheeses and local products during their rounds to replenish energy, ease tiredness and enjoy the game.

Upon the conclusion of the tournament, the participants enjoyed a Gala Lunch in the rooms of the Restaurant Natural&Mente, which were specially decorated for the event. After lunch, the prize-giving ceremony was held.

The winning team was formed by the professional Bartolomé Quirós and the amateurs Juan Manuel González Cazorla, Juan Manuel Gonzalez Mejias and Juan Carlos Espinosa Siles, with a score of 127 strokes.
