Construcciones Vera strengthens its international position with the award of a new civil engineering project in Colombia.
Construcciones Vera was awarded a new civil engineering project in Colombia, with a budget of 18.6 million Euros. This last one brings the number of projects in Colombia to 19, converting this country into a nucleus of Grupo Vera’s international business.
In November Construcciones Vera was awarded a new construction project in Colombia. The work consists of the extension, straightening and paving of the Anorí-El limón road in the north-eastern subregion of the Department of Antioquía. The work involves 34 kilometres, to be carried out jointly with a local company over 22 months. This public construction work is especially interesting for the area as, after waiting over 200 years for this infrastructure, a large population centre will benefit directly from the improvement of this road that will decrease the time taken to go from Anorí to Medellín from four and a half hours to just two hours.
Construcciones Vera also forms part of the megaproject “Parques del Rio Medellín”, with a budget of 49.8 million Euros. Under the motto “Bring life back to the river and then the river to the city and its people”, this construction is the most ambitious urban challenge in the history of the city. Additionally, Construcciones Vera is also working on the El Viajano-San Marcos road, with a budget of 36.3 million Euros. This work consists of upgrading the road infrastructure in the Departments of Cordoba and Sucre.
